Will different names on my passport and green card be a problem when I travel abroad?

I still have my former married name (am divorced now) on my foreign passport, but have my maiden name on my green card.
Will the former marriage cert + final divorce decree be sufficient enough for my re entry to the US?
I am worried about this… the consulate told me I have to use this passport for now, since changing names might take awhile…I have to travel next month for only 2 weeks.
please help!
Thank you.

I am currently in the same situation. I am traveling to australia and my names do not match on my passport and my greencard. The embassy told me it is fine as long as I have my greencard, marriage certificate and any other proof of name change. I will probably carry my birth certificut also..
I am nervous of this, so have asked many times and have even had my husband ask. They said I may get pulled aside just to clarify documentation. Good luck.
