Bangladesh possessed unique cultural and geological history. This country became independent in 1971 but the racial history is longing more than four thousand years. The first historical event happened in 14th century, that time this region was occupied by timur. Babur was second leader who conquered the area in 1500s and the region went under Mughal Empire, and this rule leaded the Islam as the leading religion in the area.

Around 1960s British East India Company came in the area as trader and later in 1757, they occupied the area from Nobub Sirajudula, the last ruler of Bengal.

The first governor of BEIC was Robert Clive and the inception of his rule; the BEIC ruled the area 100 years.

The next happening was Sepoy Mutiny, through this mutiny, the British Crown ruled over the area in 1857. They governed this area more than 300 years until 1900s.

In 1947, the Bengal was divided into two regions depending on religious line. East Bengal contains the eastern part and West Bengal got the western part of Bengal under India.

Both two region got free from Britain and East Bengal renamed to East Pakistan and went under Pakistani rule, and west Bengal under India rule. The repression of Pakistani ruler agitated the general people of East Pakistan and they prepared a petition for East Pakistan autonomy in 1960s, but their legal demand was ignored by Pakistani rich people and ruler.

The situation was very bad until 1970 and this year, a catastrophic cyclone blended the major part of this country, but Pakistani government did not do anything to over this dreadful situation.

In 1971 there was a great rebellion by the general people ofBangladesh, they fought around 9 month against Pakistani military and won their very own independence losing 3 million general people in 16th December 1971.

Sheikh Mujub, the name was the first and only who organize the people to fight against Pakistani blood sucker army. The great man was assassinated in 1975 by some diverted army officers.

After his death, around three months the country was under dark and then General Ziaur Rahman was powered to lead the nation and he made the multi party government but again like Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, he was assassinated in 1981.

General Ershad was the next army president, who governed the nation about eight years.

He left the presidency in the face of general revolution of people and then the country went under parliamentary democratic republic.

At present the country is being ruled by Bangladesh Awamileague andBangladesh National party.
