Image of Comet by NASA Craft on Valentines Day
On Valentine’s Day, NASA spacecraft zipped past a comet, scientist predicts that it will shed light on icy solar system bodies.
When the spacecraft was passing 24, 000 mph, comet temple was zoomed by stardust on last Valentine’s Day night while it snapped more than 60 high resolution images.
NASA Scientists agreed to spin the earth moving the image in reverse order, beginning with 5 close up snaps of Temple 1’s nucleus. However, all images in NASA’s computer systems looked just as minute dot.
“We still don’t understand fully why this didn’t work the way we planned,” said Chris Jones, an associate director at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, which managed the mission.
All the flyby pictures were stored aboard Stardust. “They’re not lost,” Jones said.
This is actually science news; I like any sorts of news about solar systems. Hope you will also enjoy this science news and express your opinion blow.
