NASA-Glory Spacecraft Failed to Reach the Orbit

Glory Spacecraft that was launched to discover atmosphere’s aerosol content by NASA failed to get the tract of orbit last Friday morning.

“Telemetry indicated the fairing, the protective shell atop the Taurus XL rocket, did not separate as expected about three minutes after launch,” stated by space agency. Probably the craft was landed in the South Pacific.

This failure is not new, same happening was in 2009 of Taurus rocket which was rocketed to discover atmospheric carbon dioxide.

“Working from space is hard, expensive and risky. We cannot take it for granted, and yet we need that information more than ever,” stated by NASA’s scientist Gavin Schmidt of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Science. He also added that spacecraft are not cent percent certain, there is always uncertainty and this task also very complicated.

“NASA has begun the process of creating a Mishap Investigation Board to evaluate the cause of the failure,” stated by NASA’s authority. They also trying to investigate the happening to find out the reason and depending on investigation they will take necessary steps to overcome the problem in their next mission.
