Mother’s Day,May 8
Do you know the sweetest word in the world? I know everybody is familiar with this word. This is Mother, Mom or Ma (In Bengali).
We are going to celebrate the mother’s day 8th May, 2011. 8th may is also regarded as international mother’s day. This day is celebrated to show the highest honor and gratefulness to all mothers in the world. At present, most of the countries in the world celebrate this day in the second Sunday of May, and its 8th may.
However, this occasion is also celebrated in different times in many other countries but 8th may is the Day when most of the people celebrate Mother’s day.
This day was first celebrated in USA by US President Woodrow Wilson on May 8, 1914 and since then people across the world have been celebrating this day as mother’s day with joy , respect and devotion.
On the occasion of this day, First time, I am going to celebrate the day without my Mom or Ma (in Bengali). December, 2010, she passed away from this ephemeral earth to Heaven. So, this mother’s day is totally different to me and praying for the eternal soul of my mother.
