Map of South China Sea-Get the Pros and Cons of South China Sea

In the world, there are some specific areas which have special attraction to world economic and political arena, China Sea is one of them. This place has special prospects to many countries for it’s over flowed natural resources. In this article I am going to give a short description of this area with the help of map of the South China Sea.

The South China Sea is composed of more than two hundreds isolated islands and reefs, and most of them are located in the Paracel and Spratly Island network. It stretches Pacific Ocean from Singapore to Malacca in the southwest, to the northwest in between Taiwan and China. The specialty of isolated islands is they are not suitable for human habitation, yet they are very rich with oil and other natural resources. If you see the area in the map of South China you can understand the location of the South China Sea properly.

The most important fact of this area is strategic and political perspective, as many countries have their claims on this area and its natural resources. The natural resources are the main reason of attraction of this area; because of the demand of oil and natural gases of south sea area it drew attention to the whole Asia pacific region.

At present, China, Taiwan, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Cambodia, and Thailand claimed their strong ownership with the area of South China Sea. However, there were different agreement, and conducted many seismic survey to create a peaceful South China Sea Map, to resolve the problem among all these countries, still there is no possible solution generated by those countries.

This is also surprising that the claims of this area is historical, however the territorial claims are internationally accepted depending on countrie’s continental self, and the agreement is based on the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

Hi Yusuf,

The greed for oil and natural resources will fully destroy the Earth based on political games between the countries. It is interesting to know there are 200 Islands in this area and none of them are inhabitant. I am guessing all of those Islands are protected by different laws and that is why no one can touch them. Of course, human greed for power and money always finds away to go around the law and I will not be surprised if there are some oil digging already involved.

Taiwan is part of China, and also the islands in south of China. The fact is that they always belong to China from history ,today,and to the future. Chinese defend the south islands,it is not only for the resource, but for the chinese territory and national dignity.
