Black Forest-New7Wonders of Nature

The black forest is one of the most beautiful mountainous forests in the world. It is located in southwestern part and bordered by the Rhyne valley to the west and south of Germany. The highest peak is mountain Feldberg and its height is around 1500 meters. The total forest cover is somewhat rectangular with 200km length and 60 km breathe.

Forest is the largest source of employment in Germany and around 1.3 million people linked with German forestry, and black forest is one part of German forestry.

Black forest is one of the 28 elite finalists of New7Wonders of Nature through global online voting systems. . New7Wonders knocked German politicians, business leaders and the media to increase awareness amongst European people.
