Beijing Xishan Experimental Forest Farm

As part of our silviculture study, recently we have visited Beijing Xishan Experimental Forest Farm Healthy Management. This is my first academic tour after coming Beijing. I enjoyed the tour very much with my friends and I would like to share picture of this tour.

Very recently, with the financial help of Beijing Municipal Government, several capital landscape green projects were started and the projects have made significant achievement. According the report, by the end of 2006, the city woodland area covered 1056779.5 ha.

Three green shelters are available in the area; mountainous, plain and urban and the main objective of the green project is ecological value.

The graceful landscape consisting of three levels-the city surrounded by forest mountains, the urban surrounded by flowers, trees and ornamental shrubs and the suburb surrounded by forest. There are also several orchard farms. Beijing Xishan Experimental Forest Farm is natural protection belt of Beijing municipal from strong wind. In a word, the whole area is wonderful natural place that lies very close to Beijing city.

How absolutely beautiful! I love everything of nature also. I feel people are constructing so fast and in such huge amounts that we might be creating an imbalance soon. As it is, many animals all over are having difficulty finding where to leave because more and more humans are overpopulating and taking over precious land space. Thank you for sharing such beauty.
