Beijing to Shanghai High Speed Rail-Unofficial Ticket Price is 600RMB
The long cherished Beijing to shanghai high speed train is going to start its final appearance in summer for public traveling, which is now running under trial from 11th May.
So far I know, there are total 9 trains running under this trial program without any passenger. The fastest train started from Shanghai, which only took 4 hrs 48 minutes to reach Beijing, which was stopped only at one station.
According to unofficial report, the price of the ticket for one way will be 600 RMB (1$=6.5RMB) but the official price is still not disclosed.
The interesting fact is that the unofficial price is same as the discounted flight fare between these two cities. So, the ticket price is beyond doubt expensive for normal travelers.
