However you will need to consider that the very things we need are the ones that will likely increase in price such as food. Furthermore, consider health care costs. These will likely increase as well sicne you are no logner entitled to health coverage while you don’t have a job.
Second, early planning makes things easier. The main reason behind that is your money and other financial assets will grow more. As well as much time to save more and worry less about what the future holds.
Third, life’s unexpected circumstances can be disappointing as you don’t really know when it’s going to come. For example, you might be fired from your job the next year or a family member may need medical assistance in a day or two.. As well as you could feel a sense of stability and security. Despite of what happens, you’ll feel stable and secure because you have saved a lot!
Fourth, unavoidable rising inflation costs greatly affects retirees like you and most especially for those who are retiring in the next twenty years or so. This is so because inflation rates will likely increase in the future.
And Fifth, social security may no longer be that secure in the future. It has already been expected that the social security will start paying more benefits than the taxes it will collect in the next years to come.
